CAN I SCHEDULE MY CHECKRIDE BEFORE I AM SIGNED OFF BY MY INSTRUCTOR?I can't schedule your checkride until you are completely signed off in IACRA and endorsed to take the checkride by your instructor.

HOW MUCH DOES THE CHECKRIDE COST?Current Practical test costs: o Private, Instrument, Commercial - $900 o See "Policies and Fees" for more information. Note: Cash and Venmo are the only acceptable forms of payment.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON A DISCONTINUANCE?If the practical test is discontinued beyond your control, there is no charge to reschedule and fly. The checkride fee that is initially charged is non-refundable once the test begins. Discontinuances for reasons within your control shall be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

WHAT IF I AM ISSUED AN NOTICE OF DISAPPROVAL?Retest for a prior Disapproval from me: Ground and Flight is the full cost of original practical test. However, credit will be given depending on ACS tasks completed. Flight retest only is normally $500. Retest fees from another Examiner will be provided upon test date confirmation and, cost depends on the number of ACS tasks remaining. Typically $600-$900.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY CHECKRIDE?Once I receive the “Pretest Information Form” and schedule your checkride I will email you everything you need to bring to the practical test along with some checklists for you and your instructor to review. I will also include a scenario and this will be the basis for the ground and flight evaluation for performance, navigation, weight and balance, etc. in accordance with the FAA Airman Certification Standards (ACS) and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). WHAT AIRPORT DO YOU ADMINISTER YOUR CHECKRIDES?I primarily conduct my checkrides from Lancaster Airport (KLNS). However, I may meet you at nearby airports on a case- by-case basis.
